In the first task we were asked to use our knowledge to gather and use information around infectious diseases. This task wanted us to broaden our gathering skills and taught us to gather information from a range of sources including books, journals, websites etc. I have never used or searched for any journals before this task so it helped me understand how to get hold of the information which will be an advantage when I progress into university after this course. This task also asked us to look and evaluate the authenticity of the sources we had used. This gave me a greater insight into how much you can believe and trust information on the internet. I have learnt that journals are more reliable sources than the internet websites.
